Dr. Shafer took a lot of time on my first appointment. He asked me questions and shared his thoughts and ideas - a true exchange. I learned a great deal from him sharing his perspective. I like his approach - very direct and comprehensive, yet friendly. He included my spouse in the conversations, which is important to me. He really gets into the details, which is also important.

However, upon learning that my records had actually been transferred to him after my former cariologist left the practice, I agreed to continue as Dr. Shafer's patient after this first appointment.
